Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana

Millie is a sweet, fiesty, playful little girl who loves to be with her humans!  She loves to play ball, tug of  war, play fetch and have chew toys She's a curious little girl who loves to explore her surroundings and chase squirrels and birds. She likes to sleep at the foot of her humans bed and will give kisses in the morning to wake you up. She gets jealous if there is attention to other pets. She needs to be an only dog and have all the attention. She loves the yard and chases whatever is there- birds, butterflies, squirrels.

Millie knows sit, lay down and shake.  She is easily trained but easily distracted at times. She is crate, leash trained and housebroken. She has learned to ring her bell when she needs to go out. She enjoys going for walks and will run to the door when you put her leash on her.  She is not bothered by lawn mowers or people in their yards but will bark and try to get to people or dogs if they are walking/running past.

Millie, in true sheltie fashion, is skittish especially in new environments and gets startled by sudden noises. It takes her a while to adapt to a new place. Because of her curious nature she will require a fence. Millie does well in a car but can sometimes still get car sick.
