Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana

I arrived at SRCI with a 10 inch gash on my shoulder.  The owner said I had had an argument  with another dog in the home.  I have had 3 surgeries to close up the wound.  I also had to have antibiotics to combat the infection.. I am roughly 17 inches tall. I do need to loose a few pounds, I was on restricted activity for a while due to my wound which didn't help my weight loss. My foster mom has me on a diet to help that though.

 

I do like to play with toys. I am a great watch dog. I let my foster Mom know whenever the neighbors leave or the boys across the street are playing in the road. I can be a little protective of my bed and food bowl when my foster sibling gets too close but have started trying to play with her. I am a happy, social, sweet boy. 

 

Other quirky things about me...  I shake my bed after I eat. I can roll over, when I want too.  I sit on commend.  I take treats very gently.   I walk well on a leash but tend to pull at the beginning of my walk, especially if I have business to take care of.
