Abbie is a sweet, friendly girl who loves to explore her surroundings. She is an active girl who loves to play with her foster siblings whether it's wrestling or playing chase in the yard. She likes to chew on toys but doesn't know the fetch game, when we play she thinks she's supposed to chase the other dogs while they fetch. She is gentle when playing and is non aggressive. If one of the dogs tells her to back off she does but sometimes she asks again just to make sure they really don't want to play. At night she likes to either curl up in her favorite dog bed or snuggle up next to her foster mom. She is a great snuggler!

She walks well on a leash but gets super excited when she comes across humans on her walk and will pull to get to them to say hi. She knows no strangers! She ignores cars. Abbie is a little unsure of car rides but does really well. She does however get carsick sometimes. Abbie is not completely house broken, she will use a doggie door to go out but does not really tell you when she needs to go, we are working on this and she is getting better. Abbie also has some puppy behaviors that we are working on. She is very treat and attention motivated. Abbie loves to be outside to run, play or just explore - she will need a fenced yard.

Update 1/10/24

Abbie has come a long way with the potty training. She has started to whine if she needs to go out. If she is in a home with a doggie door she will let herself out when she needs to go. She's great about holding it during the night but if she wakes up and needs to go out she will not lay back down when you tell her to and will pace the room or whine.   Abbie loves to play with other dogs but is very territorial when it comes to her human especially at bedtime. For this reason she either needs to be the only dog or in a home with one other female dog who is not an alpha.
