Liam is a very sweet and affectionate boy who LOVES attention.  He loves to be outside and while he will come when called, if he is not ready to come in he sometimes pretends he doesn't hear you calling for him. He is a goofy boy who loves to run and play but sometimes trips over is own feet. He is so funny and happy it's hard to not fall in love with him. At night he will sleep where ever, sometimes on the bed with his humans or in one of his nap spots around the house. He is definitely a morning pup and will jump on the bed and wiggle, giving kisses and snuggles.  Liam loves to play with toys, either by himself or with his humans. He has not experienced the Frisbee yet but likes to chase a ball. He is notorious for making sure the toy bin has been emptied and the toys can be found in his favorite lounging spots around the house.

Liam is completely house broken but will only sometimes whine in the morning when he first gets up.  Other then that he will hold it and go when he's let outside. He has access to a doggie door and has learned to go and out on his own when it's open. He does not seemed to be bothered by the vacuum cleaner or hair dryer, however if he's uncertain about noises he normally goes into one of the bedrooms and hangs out till he's ready to come back out.

Liam is not yet fully leash trained, he is getting better but it's a work in progress. If he's not sure where your going is unsure, he just sits down. He is crate trained however he does not like going into it but will easily if a treat is involved.  Due to his age and that he will randomly find something to chew on when bored (he likes to run off with his foster moms slippers) he is still crated when home alone.

Liam is ready for his forever home, however, due to his age he will require a foster to adopt home. For the health of the dog our vet and the National Sheltie Association recommends waiting until male shelties reaches 12 months of age before neutering. This allows for his growth plates to fully develop. His adoption cannot be finalized until he is neutered.
